BARNSLEY paid out more than £340,000 in agents fees over the latest 12-month period, it has been revealed.

The FA released the figures which relate to payments between February 2025 and 2026.

The figures rose by 85 per cent in League One with Luton, Cardiff and Huddersfield all dishing out more than £1m.

Barnsley spent £340,010 – the 12th most in the division.

It was less than other Yorkshire rivals Bradford City but more than Doncaster Rovers and Rotherham United.

Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship spent more than £530,000, while Sheffield United spent £5m.
