Two bogus callers have been jailed for a total of more than ten years following a police investigation into distraction burglaries.

 

Sailey Price, a traveller living in the Barnsley area, was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court last Tuesday for three counts of distraction burglary.

 

Price, 36, received five years and six months in jail after pleading guilty to distraction burglaries in Bolton-upon- Dearne, Wingfield and Goole.

 

Curtis Smith, 21, of Cudworth, also pleaded guilty to a charge of burglary at a property on Nursery Drive, Catcliffe, on December 5 last year.

Smith also had three other offences taken into consideration and received five years imprisonment.
