There were stands of 45 then 54 for the last two wickets with Jenson Hayes making 68 not out.

Steven Jnr Honeyman had taken five wickets and Dominic Fell three.

Wath were out for 125 chasing Wentworth’s 258.

Rob Barlow took three wickets.

West Bretton’s first game in the South Yorkshire League saw them fall 104 runs short chasing Conisbrough’s 258.

Worsbrough Bridge were dismissed for 87 in an eight-wicket loss at Rockingham 2nd XI in Division Three. Alan Lockwood took four wickets.

Higham fell 22 runs short chasing 163 at Sprotbrough. Ryan Bagshaw and Brad Gledhill took four wickets each.

Silkstone United bowled Wombwell Main out for 88 in a four-wicket Division Five win. Christopher Barraclough took seven for 24 off 12 overs for Silkstone while Wombwell’s Darren Newton struck three times.

Penistone 2nd XI dismissed Barnby Dun for 52 defending 159. John Beachill scored 72 not out.

Kexborough were skittled for 85 chasing 117 at Sheffield University Staff in Division Four. Ulaganathan Sayanthan took three wickets.

Barnsley Woolley 3rd XI were out for 44 chasing 89 at Stocksbridge. Callum Bentley claimed four wickets.

Green Moor were all out for 56 chasing 127 at Fishlake in Division Six.

Dearne won by 42 runs at Mexborough 2nd XI in Division Nine North. Nick Petty made 63 not out in Dearne’s 164.

Higham 2nd XI won by 20 runs at home to Rockingham 2nd XI in Division Seven North.

Anthony White (59) led Higham to 223 then Reece Woodhead scored 107 for Rock and shared an opening stand of 163 with Adam Cummins (64). Simon Grindle took five wickets for Rock.

Darfield 2nd XI won by 94 runs at Houghton Main 2nd XI.

West Bretton 2nd XI defended 100 by bowling Barnsley Woolley 4th XI out for 75 in Division Eight North.

Elsecar 2nd XI won by 44 runs at Hallam 5th XI in Division Eight South.
