A BROTHER and sister sporting team from Barnsley are set to travel across international waters for the race of their lives.

Sports runs in the family for Grace and Harrison O’Kane, from Jump.

The duo have both earned places in Great Britain’s under-18 squad for the European Dragon Boat Championships in Munich.

Grace, 17, will take on the role of captain and this year Harrison, 14, has earned his place in the boat alongside her.

The siblings-turned-teammates are pushing themselves by working on their fitness in anticipation of their big race.

Their proud dad, Tim, said: “Unfortunately all of the trip is self-funded.

“Harrison is following in Grace’s footsteps and is really happy to be joining her in the boat this year.

“We are asking if you could help them achieve their goals, by donating to help them on their journey.

“All money raised will be spent on kit, travel, accommodation and food for these young athletes.

“Any donation help and in the current financial climate we appreciate any amount that people can spare.

“Grace and Harrison are very excited and it’s really an outstanding achievement for them.
