Barnsley have released a series of players including Marc Roberts and are in contract discussions with Eoghan O’Connell and David McGoldrick.
They have released Tennai Watson and Roberts as well as Jon Russell, Max Watters and Andy Dallas, who were all loaned out last season.
They have taken the options of adding an extra year to the contracts of Mael de Gevigney, Jack Shepherd and Adam Phillips plus youngsters Luke Alker, Lewis Gould and Kieran Graham.
Top-scorer McGoldrick netted 18 goals last season while defender O’Connell joined on a short-term deal in January.
Under 21s released are Ben Jordison, Aston Ellard, Maxymilian Gryncewicz, Stanley Holder, Voldi Mbaya, Tom Senior, Kingston Simbai and Nathan Willis.
They have offered professional contracts to under 18s Arley Kay, Max Rayner and Robson Woodcock while releasing Feyi Afuape, Jake Andrassy, Euan Cutler, Kalaab Daniel, Chrysolite Ogbu, Charles Price, Noah Ward, Aston Wilson and Jack Woodcock.
