A LOCAL NHS trust has recognised the best of its staff, teams, and volunteers at a special annual awards ceremony.
South West Yorkshire Partnership Teaching NHS Foundation Trust announced the winners of its 2026 awards across four individual and six team categories.
Winners from Barnsley included Scott Martin, a facilities operative at Kendray Hospital, who triumphed in the ‘unsung hero’ category.
Barnsley Stroke Services were also recognised for their ‘capturing the seasons photography project’ in partnership with the Stroke Association and Creative Minds.
The project concluded with the photographs being exhibited at the Cooper Gallery during Stroke Awareness Week, with the images now on display in the stroke recovery ward at Kendray Hospital.
Chief executive Mark Brooks said: “This was a fantastic night which gave us an opportunity to honour everyone who has worked so hard over the past year to deliver excellence in everything from leading well, working sustainably and providing compassionate care.
“I’d like to congratulate all our winners and thank all our staff whose hard work and dedication they exemplify.”
