A REVOLUTIONARY healthcare project which has allowed patients to access thousands more appointments received a visit from Barnsley Council’s new leader.
The Alhambra’s Health on the High Street, which has been hailed as the UK’s largest relocation of hospital outpatient services outside a clinical setting, saw Councillor William Brown stop off this week.
He said: “It was great to visit the Health on the High Street project and get to see first-hand how it is making it easier for Barnsley people to get the right support they need, right in the heart of their town centre.
“We’ll be working with officers to look at plans for the next stages of this project in the coming weeks.”
