IMRAN Shah hit 120 not out and took five wickets in Wath’s win at home to Monk Bretton which kept them second in Division One of the South Yorkshire League.

Shah blasted 19 fours in Wath’s 218 for three then took five for 24 off 13 overs and Josh Burrows four for 30 as the Monks were all out for 98.

Monk Bretton then beat Frecheville by 84 runs in the Mick Savage Trophy.

They made 253 as Ashley Clayton scored 61 and Chris Schofield 55 then Scott Latimer hit 63 not out off 35 balls.

West Bretton won by six runs at home to Wickersley. George Naylor made 58 in Bretton's 227 then Callum Bailey and Mohamed Zacky took three wickets.

Houghton Main fell 59 runs short chasing 299 at Frickley.

Zain Maqsood took three wickets then Asim Javed scored 85, Teriq Worrell added 58 and Waris Abbas whacked 52 off 38 balls with four fours and four sixes.

Houghton then won by 106 runs at Sprotbrough in the cup.

They posted 271 as Ian Simon scored 81 then Shahab Khan smashed 85 off 38 balls with 12 fours and four sixes. Worrell took three wickets.

Penistone fell 23 runs short chasing 184 at Norton Woodseats in Division Two.

They were 22 for five before captain Tom Exley made 61.

Darfield won by a wicket at Worsbrough Bridge in Division Three.

Darfield’s Saman Khursheed took seven wickets to bowl the hosts out for 172 then Bridge’s Joe McLee took five wickets and Liam Levitt three.

Darfield’s Jordan Watson made 64 not out off 65 balls with six fours and five sixes, including a last-wicket stand of 54.

Darfield then fell 21 runs short chasing 183 at Barnsley Woolley Miners 2nd XI in the cup. Ethan Shillito made 91 not out for Barnsley then took four wickets as did Finlay Parker-Wake.

Higham won by 63 runs at Rockingham 2nd XI. Glen Burden (61) and Ryan Howarth (50) led Higham to 226 then Leah Burkinshaw and Gareth Kilburn took three wickets.

William King carried his bat with 79 not out for Rockingham for whom Jawad Akhtar had taken five wickets.

Kexborough’s 182 was not enough in a three-wicket loss at Thorncliffe and Wentworth in Division Four.

Matty Woods made 64 then Matty Bowering took three wickets.

Division Five leaders Wombwell Main defended 156 by bowling second-placed Sheffield Collegiate 4th XI out for 95.

Darren Newton took five for 14 off 12 overs and Ben Reeves three for 20.

Silkstone United removed Hallam 3rd XI for 88 in an eight-wicket win.Joe Green and Finlay Allen took three wickets.

Penistone 2nd XI won by 61 runs at home to Maltby. Michael Brown scored 56 then Marcus Hoyland hit 77 not out off 61 balls in Penistone’s 222 then Paul Dalton took four wickets.

Green Moor won by 110 runs at home to Whitley Hall 3rd XI in Division Six.

They were 66 for five but posted 222. James Bates made 50 and Manoj Jayasekara hit 69 off 33 balls with six sixes before he took five wickets. Satinderpal Singh struck three times.

Darfield 2nd XI chased 127 for a five-wicket home win over Adwick-le-Street in Division Seven North.

Josh Care made 57.

Rockingham 3rd XI bowled Doncaster Town 4th XI out for 86 defending 175. James Peet took four wickets.

Nick Petty carried his bat with 104 not out as Houghton Main 2nd XI won by 30 runs defending 176 at home to Bradfield 2nd XI.

West Bretton 2nd XI won by three wickets at Monk Bretton 2nd XI in Division Eight North.

Ben Davis made 87 for the Monks and David Hoyle 51 not out for the visitors.

Worsbrough Bridge 2nd XI collapsed from 70 for two to 100 all out in a tie at Pledwick 2nd XI.

Elsecar 3rd XI chased 140 for a two-wicket home win over De La Salle in Division Eight South.

Alfie Rowbottom scored 74 off 66 balls with 12 fours and a six.

Kexborough 2nd XI chased 123 for a four-wicket win over Silkstone United 2nd XI in Division Nine North.

Higham 2nd XI won by five runs at Mexborough 2nd XI after posting 144.

Number nine Steven Bamforth scored 50 off 34 balls with eight fours and two sixes.
