Members of a working men's club which closed suddenly last month amid financial problems say they are saddened and angry by the lack of answers from the committee about what happened.
A meeting due to take place about Athersley Social WMC on Tuesday night was cancelled by members of the committee "due to reason beyond our control" but members say they have 'questions that need answering'.
Their questions include why the club was signed over to Sam Smith's Brewery and why the committee was still taking subs off members when they knew the club was going to close.
In a statement given to the Chronicle members said they want to know why a special general meeting was not called when Molson Coors pulled out of a deal, which would have saved the club.
