Several relatives will be flying over to Hoyland from New Zealand next month to celebrate a 60th wedding anniversary.
Arthur Bird, of Royston Hill, and his wife Margaret, 81, will be celebrating their diamond anniversary on August 15, the day after Arthur turns 81.
They will be joined by their son, daughter and grandchildren who are all making the trip from New Zealand.
To celebrate the landmark, a reception will be held at the Hare and Hounds at Hoyland Common.

Arthur, a former painter and decorator, and Margaret, a former supervisor at the Metrodome, met in 1949.

Arthur said: "I was a drummer in several bands. Margaret was just one of the dancers for one and we ended up getting along and four years later we ended up getting married."
