David Flitcroft has told his players to kick-start their season at Blackpool tomorrow.

After the 4-0 thrashing by Wigan on Saturday and the tense penalty shoot-out victory over Scunthorpe in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday, Flitcroft says his players have showed 'enthusiasm and spirit' on the training pitch in the last few days.

Flitcroft continues his search for a striker and has been dealt a blow by the news that key defender Martin Cranie will be out for up to a month with a knee injury. Cranie joins Lewin Nyatanga, Kelvin Etuhu, Paul Digby, Danny Rose and the suspended Dale Jennings on the sidelines.

Flitcroft said: "It's a blow losing Martin Cranie, as it was losing Kelvin Etuhu, but I only do disappointment for a couple of hours and then we look for solutions. We lost Scott Golbourne and John Stones, who were our two in-form players, at key times last season but we recovered and came back fitter and stronger."
