THE politics Show is coming to Penistone Paramount — to film its pantomime.
BBC1 wants to show how a small theatre and cinema can thrive in the face of fierce competition and Penistone Theatre Group hope its production of Rumplestiltskin will do just that.
Producer Phil Vickers is delighted the cinema is to receive national coverage.
He said: “This is one of the best things that has happened to us in years. We'd been looking for a good angle for publicity but to be able to get on BBC TV, it’s just ‘wow’.
“I've told the producer that he can film whatever he wants as long as he doesn’t interfere with the running of my pantomime.”
