THE life of a celebrity beckons for Cawthorne folk singer Kate Rusby after she appeared on Top of the Pops and met royalty last week.

Her duet with former Boyzone star Ronan Keating, 'All Over Again', is released on Monday and the pair were on the long-running BBC show last Sunday.

The day before, they performed at the Tower of London as part of the Prince’s Trust 30th birthday, alongside acts such as Pink, McFly and Ozzie Osbourne.

Kate, 32, is on holiday in Spain but her mum Ann said she had enjoyed meeting Prince Charles after the televised show.

“Kate said the Prince and his wife were both very charming.

“She was standing next to Ozzie and Sharon Osbourne waiting to meet the Prince and she said they were very interesting people.

“Ronan Keating did three songs and thankfully they showed the duet with Kate on the ITV show. She also enjoyed being on Top of the Pops for the first time.”
