LIVE in Barnsley - the town's free music festival - has been shortlisted for a national UK Festival Award for the second year running.
Organisers Steve Clifford, Dave Pearsall and John Backhouse got confirmation this week that the event has been shortlisted, following an online vote by UK festival goers.
LIVE in Barnsley has been nominated in 'Best Metropolitan Festival Category.' This puts Barnsley up against much larger, more established festivals like Sheffield's Tramlines, Live at Leeds and Liverpool Sound City.
This year also sees the organisers themselves, CF Promotions, being nominated in the 'Promoter of the Year' section.
Dave Pearsall said: "We're proud to have been nominated again. It's not just down to us, it's down to the bands, the fans, the venues, the sponsors, the PA companies and many more unsung heroes who do so much to make this wonderful event happen."
LIVE in Barnsley this year was on June 21. It had 13 venues, more than 100 bands, 400 musicians and was attended by 5,000 music fans. Next year, the festival is on June 20.
