A WOMBWELL woman has been congratulated by TV star Will Mellor after making it to the finals of a national slimming competition.
Grace Peacock, 21, lost 8st 9.5lbs and earned herself a place as one of 45 finalists for the title of Slimming World's Woman of the Year.
"The changes I've made to the way I cook and eat have been small ones, like swapping white bread for wholemeal and using low calorie spray instead of oil or butter in my cooking, but they've made a big difference to my weight," she said.
Will Mellor congratulated Grace, of Woodbourn Gardens, Wombwell, in person when she attended a celebration at Slimming World's Derbyshire headquarters earlier this month.
Grace has been a member of the Slimming World group at Salvation Army Hall, Midland Road in Royston since April 2013.
