LEUKAEMIA sufferer 'Super' Daniel Moxon has been posthumously nominated for a Proud of Barnsley award for selflessly raising money for charity.

Dan, formerly of Swannee Road, Kendray, was given 'months to live' last year and lost his battle on June 6, 2014 aged 24.

Despite being given the devastating news that his illness was terminal, he vowed to carry on fighting and jumped 15,000ft out of a plane to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Dan, known as 'Super Dan' to his family and friends, was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2009. He received a bone marrow transplant but relapsed last year.

His mother, Dawn Eastwood, said he would not have considered himself worthy of an award.
