A NEW initiative aimed at restoring ancient woodland across South Yorkshire is to be launched in Barnsley.
The Woodland Trust is looking for woodland owners to work with them as part of a scheme to restore ancient woodland.
The launch is being held at Wentworth Castles Gardens and Bagger Wood near Hood Green on Wednesday from 9.30am to 3pm.
As part of the workshop, landowners will be informed about the value of ancient woodland, the benefits of restoring it, and the support available to carry this out.
