PLANNED maintenance works on the large pool at Hoyland Leisure Centre have been put on hold until the New Year due to 'unforeseen circumstances'.
Work should have started last Monday and included re-tiling and specialist cleaning but the leisure centre said the project had been postponed.
Staff at the leisure centre had already partially closed the pool and had told users work was going ahead.
The leisure centre apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked customers for their patience.
