A YOUNG woman was dragged down a dark alley and assaulted by four men after a night out in town, her friend has claimed.
The 22-year-old had been out with friends and was walking alone to the taxi rank at the bottom of Market Hill where the assault happened at 2am on Saturday.
The incident, which took place in Burlington Arcade, has been reported to the police who said it is not thought to have been sexual, and the victim did not know her attackers.
Anyone who may have been in the area at the time or may have witnessed anything should call 101 with incident number 136 of November 30.
