Phoebe, an eight-month-old domestic shorthair, had been missing for more than 24 hours when worried owner Sarah Sykes discovered she was stuck in the apex of a neighbour's home on Roper Lane, Thurgoland.
Fire-fighters and the RSPCA were then called in and forced to remove a number of house bricks to reach the stranded pet.
