RESIDENTS and businesses are being asked for their views on the prevention measures the council put in place following the devastating floods of 2007.
The floods, which were described by a council spokesman at the time as "the worst natural disaster in living memory", led to big changes in infrastructure and organisation. Now it wants to find out what people think of its plans in order to make sure its flood risk management is effective.
The consultation will run for eight weeks until midnight on February 8 and views can be given on the council's online consultation site or on the flood risk management strategy website.
It can also be accessed at Central Library and branch libraries across the borough, either online or as a paper copy.
