A WELL-KNOWN publican and ex-boxing champion has died after a six month battle with cancer.
Arthur Harris, 84, was landlord at a number of local pubs and clubs through his 30 year career, including the Cross Keys in Hoyland Common, Wombwell Main workingmen's club which has since been demolished and the Londoner pub in Monk Bretton.
The funeral is taking place at 2pm on Monday December 29 at Barnsley Crematorium.
