Bentley is to offer a new luxury two–plus-two convertible later this year, and will be called the Continental GTC, writes Don Booker. It will have a top speed of 95mph from a 12–cylinder engine that will cover 0 to 60mph in 4.8 seconds. The twin turbo–charged unit will develop 552bhp. There will be an all–wheel–drive system and six–speed automatic gearbox. Although luxurious throughout, there will be options such as lamb’s wool rugs for the footwells, aluminium fascia panels, wood and hide steering wheel and ‘Bentley’ embossed to seat facings.
