BARNSLEY people are being warned to batten down the hatches with storm force winds set to batter the town this weekend.
Severe weather warnings have been issued with winds of up to 90mph set to hit Scotland today and northern England tomorrow.
The Met Office issued warnings that the storms could cause travel disruption and power cuts.
