ACTOR Darren Day is one of several celebrities to have settled phone-hacking claims for 'substantial damages', the High Court has been told.
Darren, who lives in Brierley, settled a claim against Mirror Group Newspapers along with singer Cilla Black, Eastenders star Jessie Wallace and singer Peter Andre.
The hacking was alleged to have taken place between 2000 and 2006.
Barrister David Sherborne said the claims related to 'habitual practice of voicemail interception'.
