A WOMBWELL business owner whose shop was forced to close due to burglary in November has opted not to reopen after the 'distress' it caused her.
Emma's Boutique, which was based on Marsh Street just off the High Street, was burgled in November.
Emma initially closed the shop with the intention of restocking and reopening in January, but after a second attempted burglary she made the decision not to reopen.
Emma said: "You just can't have a business in Wombwell. After the second burglary attempt and all the insurance claims I thought, 'I can't do this again.'
"I've been stuck in limbo, I haven't known what to do. I've been selling bits off which I had left but I have decided to work from home."
The shop space on Marsh Street has already been let to another business, Marshmallow Blends, which sells hand made body products.
