MARATHON runner Roger Cousins was close to tears after Morrisons customers complained about his 'inappropriate' fund-raising costume.
The 63-year-old was dressed as a pupil of fictional girls' school St Trinian's in a bid to boost his collecting for charity Children with Cancer ahead of his 12th London Marathon.
He took almost £500 at the Barnsley town centre store this week but was asked to change his attire by the manager yesterday following objections from shoppers.
"It's just a normal St Trinian's outfit and I'd been having lots of fun with it," said Roger. "I was in disbelief and could feel myself filling up with tears."
