THE women's rugby union World Cup was on show at Shaw Lane on Friday and it is hoped its presence will inspire a new generation of players to take up the game.
The trophy, currently held by England, is on a tour of the country and it was brought to Barnsley last week.
In conjunction with the occasion coaching sessions with teenage girls were put on by Barnsley RUFC players and coaches.
