ANOTHER horse has been hurt in what is thought to be a knife attack - just a fortnight after a horse in Hoyland had to be put down when she was stabbed.
Police got a call at about 7.15pm on Sunday reporting that a horse being kept off Keresforth Hill Road in Gilroyd, Barnsley, had received two wounds to its body and legs.
Tilly, a grey Connemara mare, was attacked in a field just off Broadcarr Road, Hoyland, on Sunday March 29. Tilly suffered a single stab wound four to five centimetres long between her groin and stomach.
She had to be put to sleep at the site.
