POLICE were called to a Wombwell business park on Friday after a factory received a suspicious package.
Police attended Fresh Pak, based in the Waterside Park on Valley Way, at 11.40am after receiving reports of a package containing an unknown substance which had been delivered to the factory.
Emergency services attended and a cordon was put in place whilst enquiries were carried out on site.
The substance was established as not harmful, and police have launched a criminal investigation to establish the identity of the person who sent the package.
