THE owners of a Shafton shop have suffered a second petrol bomb attack in less than six months.
Sergey Tikhonov and Svetlana Safonkina’s £14, 000 car, parked in front of the premises, was gutted when bomb was thrown through the window in the early hours.
The couple, of Shafton Stores, and their two children aged four and two, were asleep in their flat above the shop when the attack happened at about 4.45am on February 10.
Luckily the young family were saved when a passing motorist called the fire brigade who managed to put out the fire before it spread to the shop.
In October their van and car were destroyed in another firebomb attack and thanks to the firefighters and the wind direction the fire didn’t spread to the shop.
After the latest incident the total damage has cost £27, 000 and Lana says she is being kept awake at night wondering what will happen next.
