PARENTS battling to save a children's centre which faces an uncertain future under a council shake-up have taken their fight to MP Dan Jarvis.
Dan visited Rising Stars at Worsbrough Common on Monday after being contacted by concerned users.
The centre is one of 19 whose services and opening hours would be significantly scaled back under the council's plans to replace children's centres with a network of 'family centres' - parents believe this is tantamount to closure.
The shake-up has prompted an online petition started by mum-of-two Zara Clegg, of Thornhill Drive, Worsbrough Common, which has been signed by more than 1,070 people.
