BARNSLEY fan Ryan Mann has been poached by Sheffield Wednesday but insists he will always be a Tykes' supporter.
The six-year-old Hoyland Common pupil was approached after scouts saw him playing in goal for Dodworth Miners Welfare club.
Mum Diane, 40, of Beaumont Street, Hoyland Common couldn't believe it when he was asked to join the Owls under-7s.
She said: “He's a Barnsley fan so it came as a bit of a shock. He really didn't want to go at first because he thought he would have to support Sheffield Wednesday. He was happy when he asked if he could still support Barnsley and they said yes - unless they play Wednesday that is.”
