A PENISTONE mother whose two sons died in a fire started by their father needs a further £10,000 to help renovations works on her former home continue.
Work has started on repairing Claire Throssell's former home in Tennyson Close where she had previously lived with her husband Darren Sykes and their two sons Jack and Paul.
The boys perished in the fire started by Sykes last October. He was also killed.
The Care for Claire appeal was launched by the vicar of Penistone, Rev David Hopkin, to refurbish the house to enable Claire to sell it and buy a new home in Penistone.
Claire added: "It's like a local DIY SOS. The number of people who have come forward and want to help has been amazing. It is very humbling."I don't know how long it will take, it depends on what they find. It's ongoing and issues can arise. There is no fixed time scale."
