ARMED police descended on Wombwell High Street last weekend to search a flat.
The flat, located above the Balti Palace restaurant, was searched by police on Saturday morning. Riot vans, dogs and armed officers were all involved in the incident, which South Yorkshire Police say was carried out following concerns for the safety of the occupants.
At the same time as the operation on Wombwell High Street, an address on Dodworth Road, Barnsley was also searched.
Four men and a woman were arrested, but have all been bailed while the investigation continues.
