A ROW has broken out between residents, football fans and the council about parking restrictions near Barnsley Football Club on match days.
In April, residents received a letter from the council informing them that they would no longer be able to park on Bala Street, Belgrave Road, Grove Street and parts of Pontefract Road for two hours before and up to 90 minutes after a match.
This is to create an emergency route for police, ambulances and fans to get to and from the ground.
But furious residents who have obeyed the order say football fans are flouting the restrictions and moving traffic cones to park up outside their homes.
Robert Davies, 35, of Grove Street, said: "They expect us residents to move, but they are not giving us anywhere to go. For the first two games of the season we've been trying to move, then there are cars parking outside and not getting fined."
