A BARNSLEY MP has called for the landlords of a town centre shop which sells 'legal highs' to start eviction proceedings against their tenant.
Dan Jarvis has taken the unusual step of naming Samuel Bullivants and Thomas Bullivants and asked them to consider the 'devastating impact' the Smokey Sam's shop, which is run by Steve Shannon, is having on the community.
Mr Jarvis has written to the landlords several times asking them to put an end to their tenant's trade in the dangerous psychoactive substances but so far, they have failed to respond.
Mr Jarvis added: "They need to take action to make this stop, and I will continue to use all necessary means to ensure that the proprietor of Smokey Sam's is evicted from Sheffield Road, just as they were evicted from the Arcade last year."
