FOR 16 weeks Margaret Hawksworth searched pavements and gardens day and night, paid for advertising and offered a £1,000 reward.
All in a desperate bid to be reunited with her cat Ginger who fled after escaping from his cage as Margaret tried to take him into the vets.
But just a few days ago Margaret, 62 and husband Keith, 77, saw a familiar face outside their conservatory – it was Ginger.
And as soon as they opened the door he calmly walked in and then sat on Keith's knee to be stroked.
