THIS year's Festival of Remembrance will the last to be organised by British Legion stalwart Aubrey Martin-Wells.
Aubrey, 86, of Summer Lane, Barnsley, has organised the festival for 20 years but has decided it is now time for someone else to take it over.
One of Aubrey's final acts is to trace a man who last year helped transport people from the car park on Shaw Lane to Horizon Community College for the service.
He did such a good job he would like to hire him again this year.
This year's Festival of Remembrance will be on November 4 at 6.30pm and will commemorate the two world wars and the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
