MORE than 200 bales of hay were burnt and a barn full of animals had a lucky escape after a suspected arson attack on an Ardsley Hill farm.
Two crews from Barnsley station used a tractor to block off the bales which had not caught fire at Tyers Hall Farm early on Wednesday.
They kept the fire under control but had to to keep movement to a minimum in case sparks flew over to the nearby barn.
