ENVIRONMENTAL charity Groundwork is encouraging community groups in Barnsley to apply for a grant of up to £12,000 to improve local green spaces.
Projects that will get the green light will include new pocket parks, sports facilities, woodland walks and community gardens.
The current funding round closes for applications at noon on November 27.
