A COMMUNITY veteran is stepping down from her local tenants and residents’ association after ten years.
Yvonne Kerr, 74, of Guest Street, Hoyland, has been secretary for of Platts Common and Blacker Hill TARA for seven years, having joined the organisation as a member in 2005.
She stepped down in practice three months ago, but her tenure doesn’t officially finish until December 2 when she will formally step down.
“We’ve aided Macmillan, Help for Heroes and the Sheffield support dogs. It’s given me a lot of pleasure over the years, but now it’s time to step down and let someone else have a go. Over the years I’ve given 100 per cent.”
