Barnsley are planning for the January transfer window in which the contracts of up to ten of their current players will expire.
Six of the loan signings are due to stay at Oakwell until early January as are Adam Hammill, Reece Wabara and Simeon Jackson who all signed short-term contracts.
"We have got a lot of planning to do," said head coach Lee Johnson.
"Some of the loans will go back, some will stay. The decisions have to be made soon because you have to decide where you will recruit in January. We need to make the team better but it's never an easy time to recruit."
Ivan Toney's initial youth loan from Newcastle is due to end next week but Johnson is hoping to extend the deal for the 19-year-old striker who has not netted in his five Barnsley games. Johnson said: "I like Ivan and he gives us a different option. "He'll be disappointed he hasn't scored a couple but he's done well. He's one I would like to keep."
