A PENISTONE family have put on a dazzling display to raise money for a hospital charity.
Dad Stephen got the bug for decorating the family home with festive lights from his own parents, but the habit has grown from ‘a couple of lights’ strung outside their home when they moved to Penistone around ten years ago to a full-blown installation which now takes the family several weekends to perfect.
The display, at the family home in Long Furlong, now attracts so much attention that last year they started taking charity donations to help the children’s ward at Barnsley Hospital, where Stephen’s wife Jo works.
Last year they raised around £350 which was used to buy equipment to help assist parents who stay with their sick children.
