A SCHEME to help families adapt to parenthood has received national recognition at an awards ceremony.
Barnsley’s Having a Baby antenatal education programme was ‘highly recommended’ in the early years category at the Children and Young People Now awards.
It narrowly missed out to the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, which was named overall winner.
The programme helps to give Barnsley babies the best start in life by providing parents with practical advice and information
