WEEKLY checks are to be made in Grimethorpe in a bid to end the village’s fly-tipping woes.
Barnsley Council has committed to deploying officers in areas around Windmill Avenue and Grimethorpe Park after a year of complaints.
Coun Jenny Platts, cabinet spokesperson for communities, told the Chronicle that weekly checks will be conducted.
