A BUSINESSWOMAN is having a happy January after Elsecar locals replaced her stolen Christmas money.
June Turner had three toy dispensers stolen from her cafe in Elsecar Park last month. The profits from the machines June uses each year to fund presents for local children and she risked having to stump up the cash herself.
Locals stepped in and managed to raise the cash which covered the costs of the yearly visit from Santa.
June, 55, said: “I’m choked up; It’s so nice that they’ve raised the money.”
