A NEW gym will open up in Grimethorpe later this month.
Barnsley Barbell, the brainchild of 21-year-old friends Ashley Beaumont and Peter Shaw, is undergoing last-minute works ahead of its expected opening on January 25 at the back of The Acorn Centre, High Street.
The pair, who met at college, have been working hard during recent weeks to transform their unit into a strength training gym.
