A WOMBWELL man who committed sex crimes against children over a period spanning 20 years has been jailed for seven years.

Lyndon Exley, 44, of Stubbs Road, Wombwell, was convicted of 12 charges involving three different victims, which took place between 1993 and 2013.

The charges included four counts of indecent assault, three of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, one of sexual assault of a child, and four of sexual activity with a child.

He was sentenced to seven years in prison at Sheffield Crown Court.
