THIS beautiful £18,000 Audi is Dr Geoffrey Evans’s pride and joy but unfortunately he can only drive it about once a week for about 40 minutes.
Put very simply he is ‘allergic’ to the car and says it brings out a stinging and burning sensation, mainly in his legs.
Dr Evans, who has a doctorate in combustion chemistry, is sensitive to formaldehyde, a chemical contained in many products from household cleaners to clothes and toiletries and he finds it very difficult to avoid.
It brings on an eczema-like rash which causes chronic itching.
